How Bayside Aerial collects, uses, and protects your information.

Who we are
Bayside Aerial is a drone photography and videography practice based in Melbourne, Australia. Trading as Bayside Aerial; ABN 51 325 381 892. Contact: info@baysideaerial.com.
What information we collect
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us through our contact form, by email, by phone, or in person. This typically includes your name, contact details (email, phone), and information about your project (location, scope, timeline).
We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this website. We use minimal first-party analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful, and we do not combine that information with any personally identifying data.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to provide quotes, to deliver booked services, to issue invoices, and to communicate with you about projects in progress. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
Imagery and consent
For commissioned work, the imagery we capture is delivered to you under the terms of our engagement. We may, with your consent, retain examples for our own portfolio and case-study use. Where shoots involve identifiable individuals other than the commissioning client (wedding guests, event attendees, employees), we work to ensure appropriate consents are in place before any portfolio use.
For boundary, party-wall, and inspection work, imagery is treated as commercially confidential and is not used in any portfolio or marketing context.
How we store your information
Project files (briefs, contracts, invoices) are stored in encrypted cloud storage with reputable Australian and global providers. Imagery captured on commission is held in working storage during the project lifecycle and archived for our clients in accordance with our standard retention policy.
We retain financial records for the period required by Australian taxation and corporations law.

Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to request that we delete it where we are no longer required to retain it for legal or contractual reasons. Contact info@baysideaerial.com to make such a request.
You also have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if you believe we have mishandled your information.
CASA compliance and flight data
As a CASA-accredited drone operator we are required to maintain flight logs for all commercial operations. These logs include date, location, drone serial, pilot identifier, and flight duration. They do not include personally identifying information about clients or members of the public, and they are retained in accordance with CASA requirements.
Cookies
This website uses minimal first-party cookies for basic site function. We do not use cross-site advertising or social media tracking cookies. Browser-based analytics cookies, where used, can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Children
This website is intended for an adult business audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Imagery commissions involving children are conducted strictly with parental consent.
Third party services
This website uses minimal third-party services. We may embed Google Maps location displays on suburb pages — these involve a request to Google’s servers and may set Google cookies under their own privacy policy. We embed our Facebook profile link in the footer; following that link takes you to Facebook’s own privacy environment.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or behavioural retargeting tools on this website. The site is intended as a clean, ad-free presentation of our practice.
Data retention
Enquiry messages received through the contact form are retained in our email system for two years from receipt to support follow-up and ongoing client relationship management. Project files associated with paid engagements are retained for the longer of seven years (Australian taxation requirement) or the lifetime of the practice. Imagery delivered to clients is retained indefinitely in our master archive unless the client specifically requests deletion.
